I really think they should have a re-release of Felcity when Elizabeth comes out, with copper/bright red hair, like she has in the books, and freckles, which she also has in the books.

I really wish they would, Dolldreamer. They should also re-do her 'Meet' dress. As Popsie said above, Mattel did a really bad job of printing the pattern on her 'Meet' dress. I remember when I got my Mattel Felicity, which I eventually sold, I was shocked by the poor quality of the dress.

so, if the seller of my ebay doll sais that she's from 1993 does that mean she should have the copper red hair?

This waiting and guessing is stressful!!!
I thank all you people for putting up with me, I'm sure after she arrives I'll be much less talkative and fall in the shadows again, just sitting back readin and lovin my doll (hopefully)

1993 means she will have coppery hair like mine. My Felicity was a birthday gift in April 1992 so she was probably purchased in March.

Here is another picture of my pretty girl

My Felicity Doll, which is currently in the care of my DD, comes from 1992. She has auburn colored hair, not bright red. And, I'll agree, it is a bit dry and tangly on the ends, while I've noticed with the newer dolls, the hair stays silkier. She does have lovely green eyes and her auburn is a pretty color, soft and natural. When Elizabeth comes out this summer, DD will get the new Lissie and Elizabeth and I'll get my old Lissie back (we have a deal )

It is amazing how much the Felicity dolls can vary. I have a 1991 Felicity, and she has hair exactly the color of a new penny. Her eyes are a lovely dark green and she has gorgeous, bright face coloring. When Meg's traveling Felicity was here, I was surprised to see how different she looked from my Lissie, because I thought all the pre-Mattel Lissies would be the same! Our dolls had the same hair color, but Meg's doll had lighter eyes and lighter facial coloring than mine. All in all they were very different-looking dolls. I wish I had taken some comparison pictures while Meg's Lissie was here.
